Episode 5 - Austin Central Library

John Gillum, Facilities Process Manager at the Austin Public Library, has worked for the library for 38 years. Most of his career has been spent building branch libraries around Austin, 18 to be exact. Years ago, Austin's need for a new downtown public library arose due to population increase and outdated technology. After 4 years of construction, the new Central Library opened on Saturday, October 28th, 2017.

With virtual reality stations, a living rooftop garden, tablets, an art gallery and many more innovative additions, It's safe to say this is the library of the future.
