Philanthropitch Columbus Application Officially Opens
Over the past five years, Philanthropitch, the social impact fast pitch competition, has been on a mission to scale innovative nonprofits in communities around the nation. And now we're headed to Columbus! Presented by Kiwanis Club of Columbus & co-hosted by SocialVentures, the first annual Philanthropitch Columbus takes place on March 4, 2019 at the the Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre in the Riffe Center Theatre Complex.
Are you a Columbus nonprofit interested in scaling your impact? Want to get your nonprofit in front of future donors and passionate volunteers?
Or sign up for our Philanthropitch Q&A Webinar on September 17 to learn more about the event and application process.
Nonprofit applicants that go on to become finalists will take the stage in front of a judges' panel of Columbus' top business leaders, including:
- Doug Ulman, President & CEO at Pelotonia
- John Lowe, CEO at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams
- Tanisha Robinson, CEO at BrewDog USA
- Lisa Ingram, President & CEO at White Castle
- Wes Strickling, Founder & CEO at Codex Techworks & Funding Committee for Kiwanis Club of Columbus
"I'm so excited to be a part of Philanthropitch, which gives social impact organizations a chance to try stuff they normally couldn't. It is a powerful and unconventional opportunity for an organization to attempt disruption, innovation, and impact and have room to fail," says Tanisha Robinson, CEO at BrewDog USA.
With nearly one million dollars raised in donations since its founding, Philanthropitch accelerates nonprofits by providing the risk capital they need to expand their impact and fund initiatives that aren’t covered by traditional grants. Nonprofits that step onto the Philanthropitch stage not only gain access to capital, they receive top notch pitch coaching and build awareness amongst new fans including donors, mentors and passionate volunteers.
