We received nearly 45 applications for Philanthropitch Austin 2018, and after a detailed selection process, we have chosen the 13 semi-finalists. We now begin narrowing down this group to find our finalists who will pitch during the event. College Forward's mission is to coach underserved, motivated students to achieve the benefits of higher education and a college degree. Their vision is to lead by building and sharing the most effective, most efficient, and most exciting college access and completion programs in the country by 2018.
Survive2Thrive's mission is to provide life-changing resources to waitlisted domestic violence survivors and to create a sustainable recovery path to self-sufficiency for all survivors of domestic violence. Their program goals for the DVA survivors include: Safety and Stabilization, Resource Management, Confidence Building, and Self Sufficiency and Independence.
Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. In Central Texas, they are driven to ensure every young person has an opportunity to participate in our region's innovative economic engine - guided by their core values:

VentureLab is building a movement to spread the entrepreneurial mindset around the world to empower youth with the tools needed to become the next generation of innovators and changemakers. Their mission is to enable and inspire anyone to utilize their open-access youth entrepreneurship curriculum to unlock student potential and prepare youth, especially girls, to succeed in technical, creative, and entrepreneurial fields.
Generation Citizen (GC) works to ensure that every student in the United States receives an effective action civics education, which provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy as active citizens.
They envision a country of young people working as active and effective citizens to collectively strengthen our American democracy.
The VORTEX creates and presents new, innovative performances—world premiere plays, operas, musicals, ritual theatre, and devised collaborations. Forged to create relevant theatrical work and push boundaries of form and content, The VORTEX helped change the palate of what was possible in Austin’s theatre scene, and was later formed into an official 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt theater in 1991.

The mission of AIDS Services of Austin is to enhance the health and well-being of the community and people affected by HIV and AIDS. Their vision is to create an empowered community committed to healthier lives, free from stigma, for people affected by HIV and AIDS.
half Helen Foundation (hH) exists to improve children's vision and hearing through innovative screenings, research, and advocacy. In children and adolescents, undiagnosed vision and hearing impairments are among top indicators of low academic performance.They aim to increase access to preventive screening services in order to catch problems before they worsen.
The mission of Code2College is to dramatically increase the number of girls, underrepresented students of color, and low-income students who enter STEM undergraduate programs and careers.
Partners in Parenting eases the transition to parenthood by creating neighborhood-based parent groups that strengthen and empower families.
The Hispanic Alliance believes that individuals facing obstacles can transform their lives when provided high quality, culturally relevant educational opportunities. They focus on arts education for youth, and entrepreneurial training for adults, thereby empowering entire families to thrive and give back to the community.
